The Institute for the Healing of Memories was founded in 1998 with the mission to empower individuals, communities and nations and seeking to contribute to their healing journey. This is done by: Remembering the past injustices- ancient, old and recent wounds with the aim to heal our multiple roundedness; To redeem the past though prevention, empowerment and healing by celebrating that whiz is live-giving and laying to rest that which is destructive; And to work together with those who share our visions.

During the past nineteen years of the Institutes existence it has constructed and deconstructed many programmes and projects to support and deepen the Healing of Memories Healing process that are at the core of the work of the Institute and that give life to the mission of the organization.
